OUR PURPOSE

Many companies in Africa have previously enjoyed business success, steady growth and good profits if they worked hard.

Now we are seeing technology and access to information as a game changer, big corporates once the darling of Top 500 are irrelevant,

Now a new way of doing business, one that Organisations like Discovery, Altron, Amazon and Google have reinvented exists.

We have managed to bring together a collection of these Disruptors, award winners and investor darlings who will share how they transformed their culture, company, changed the rules of the game and how they are ultimately thriving.

If your serious about helping your organization into the 4th Industrial revolution and you want to be the catalyst for success, get your ticket to the main table.

WHAT #ATW IS ALL ABOUT

Africa Tech Week is a technology conference, an exhibition and a Technology Awards Ceremony. It focuses on educating South Africa and other African countries on the challenges and opportunities to be gained by their drafting appropriate plans and policies for the 4th Industrial revolution. The African Tech Week will also recognize and reward companies on the continent that have demonstrated excellence in the area of innovative product development. The speed of current breakthroughs has no historical precedent.

When compared with previous industrial revolutions, the fourth is evolving at an exponential rather than a linear pace. Moreover, it is disrupting almost every industry in every country. The 3 day conference will consist of main sessions (Plenary) plus high-level industry sector-related breakaways and expert technical focus sessions. The Conference speakers and Exhibitors will demonstrate how the breadth and depth of Industry 4.0 heralds the transformation of entire systems of production, management, and governance.

The possibilities of billions of people connected by mobile devices, with unprecedented processing power, storage capacity, and access to knowledge, are unlimited. These possibilities will be multiplied by emerging technology breakthroughs in fields such as artificial intelligence, robotics, the internet of things, autonomous vehicles, 3-d printing, nanotechnology, biotechnology, materials science, crypto currencies, energy storage, quantum computing and so many other inter-related technical advances.

SAVCA is proud to be a partner of Africa Tech Week where the focus is not only on preparing Africa for the 4th Industrial Revolution, but also exploring the insurmountable opportunities this wave of change offers. SAVCA and its members are excited to explore the role private equity and venture capital can play in this investment landscape.
