Keynote Speaker – Salim Ismail


Salim is the best-selling author of Exponential Organizations, a sought-after business strategist, and a serial entrepreneur, having founded technology companies including Confabb, PubSub Concepts, and Ångströ, which was acquired by Google in 2010. He led Brickhouse, Yahoo!’s internal incubator, and was recently named an XPRIZE Foundation Board member. Salim is also Founding Executive Director of Singularity University; Chairman of ExO Works; Founder of The ExO Foundation; an Aion Advisory Board member; and General Partner of Rokk3r Fuel ExO Venture Fund.

Africa Tech Week is a technology conference, an exhibition and a Technology Awards Ceremony. It focuses on educating South Africa and other African countries on the challenges and opportunities to be gained by their drafting appropriate plans and policies for the 4th Industrial revolution. The African Tech Week will also recognize and reward companies on the continent that have demonstrated excellence in the area of innovative product development. The speed of current breakthroughs has no historical precedent.

When compared with previous industrial revolutions, the fourth is evolving at an exponential rather than a linear pace. Moreover, it is disrupting almost every industry in every country. The 3 day conference will consist of main sessions (Plenary) plus high-level industry sector-related breakaways and expert technical focus sessions.The Conference speakers and Exhibitors will demonstrate how the breadth and depth of Industry 4.0 heralds the transformation of entire systems of production, management, and governance.
